Meet Adam Ellis: The Illustrator Who Tackles Social And Everyday Life Issues With Comic Illustrations
Cartoonist Adam Ellis has become an internet sensation for his various relatable comic works, which tackle everyday social issues. The former Buzzfeed employee explores different sectors and uses simple and easy-to-understand concepts for his artworks. Aside from occasionally creating original comic series, most of his comic works feature popular world news and memes. His original works also encompass single pieces and story-based drawings.
Adam addresses sensitive topics like dealing with self-esteem and seasonal affective disorder. However, he also does trivial comic topics relating to our daily life. He welcomes visitors to his website with a brief introduction “Greetings, loved ones. I am Adam Ellis and I draw comics while surrounded by magic crystals. I like cats and video games. I’m just three toddlers in a trench coat. Amazon wishlist available to hot dads upon request.”
The New York City-based talented cartoonist left his job to be self-employed. In 2018, he released the autobiographical comic Super Chill: A Year of Living Anxiously, which centers on his life. Adam loves to watch cult documentaries in his free time.
Growing up, the artist became obsessed with things like building using sticks and rocks to create small villages in the woods. Ironically, he sets the entire town on fire after finishing. The illustrator dreams of one day having a home with big backyard he can use to raise chickens.
Adam has a lot of social media followers who share his works around. You can also follow him on Instagram at adamtots or check him out on lizardkween.com.
