These 3 Comics Describe The Things We Hate About Weekends

By Kanyi M

The weekend is when we can relax after a hard week’s work. We can focus on ourselves without being interrupted. The only problem is when our friends constantly need our help, and we’re sometimes in a place where we don’t have time for them.

These comics perfectly depict how boring Saturdays and Sundays can be for us.

When plans get canceled

Dressing up, getting ready, and making plans to spend time with your friends and then having to cancel everything at the last minute for something important is inevitable at times, but there’s nothing worse than being disappointed.

You’re not just disappointed that you have to do something more important, but you’re also disappointed because your plans got canceled. You had a lot of fun things planned, and it was just so good that you didn’t want it to end.

When nothing goes according to plan

Plans can be made based on how well everything will work out, but sometimes it doesn’t work that way. You can’t just make plans and hope that everything will go according to your plan. Things might not go the way we want them to, so there’s nothing left to do but make another plan.

This comic perfectly depicts Murphy’s law when everything that can go wrong would go wrong. That’s why we should just let things happen without trying too hard.

When we no longer have energy

A 9-to-5 job or a college schedule can be unbearable at times. We have to work and study even when we don’t want to. We wish there was a period of time during our days and weekends for us to relax and just enjoy ourselves.

When we just don’t have the energy to follow through with any plans we made, it’s better not to make any plans at all. Having no plans feels much better than having to spend time making a plan only for you to realize that you don’t have the energy to follow through with it anymore.
